1. Privacy Policy (GDPR & CCPA)

Regulation (EU) 2016/679 · California Consumer Privacy Act

1.1 Controller. StorylineCraftHouse, registered at 38124 Else-Hoppe-Str. 12 Braunschweig, Germany, is the data controller for personal data processed through storylinecrafthouse.com and related correspondence. Privacy inquiries may be directed to [email protected].

1.2 Categories of data. We process identification and contact data (name, email address, phone number, company name), transactional data (selected services, invoices, payment confirmations), correspondence data (project briefs, feedback messages), and technical data (IP address, browser type, referring URL, cookie identifiers, approximate location derived from IP).

1.3 Purposes and legal bases. Contact and inquiry data is processed to respond to requests and prepare quotations under Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures). Contractual data is processed to deliver commissioned copywriting and documentation services under Art. 6(1)(b). Invoices and bookkeeping records are retained under Art. 6(1)(c) in fulfillment of German statutory retention obligations (§147 AO, §257 HGB), typically ten years for accounting records. Technical data and non-essential cookies are processed only with consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and §25 TDDDG. Legitimate-interest analyses under Art. 6(1)(f) cover site security, abuse prevention, and service improvement.

1.4 Recipients. Data is shared exclusively with processors bound by Art. 28 GDPR agreements: our EU-hosted email and hosting providers, project collaboration tools, and Stripe for payment processing. Personal data is not sold, rented, or disclosed to advertising brokers.

1.5 International transfers. Primary storage occurs within the European Union. Where a processor operates outside the EEA, transfers rely on European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses supplemented by appropriate technical safeguards.

1.6 Retention. Inquiry data not converted into a contract is deleted within 12 months of the last meaningful contact. Contractual records are retained for the statutory limitation period plus mandatory bookkeeping periods. Consent-based records are deleted upon withdrawal of consent.

1.7 Your rights. Under GDPR Chapters II and III you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing rests on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting prior lawfulness. You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, notably the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen (Braunschweig, Germany).

1.8 CCPA disclosures (California residents). We do not "sell" or "share" personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA. California consumers may request disclosure of categories and specific pieces of collected data, deletion, and correction of inaccurate data, and may designate an authorized agent. Requests are honored within the statutory 45-day window and verified before fulfillment. We apply non-discrimination: exercising privacy rights does not alter pricing or service quality. Direct requests to [email protected] with the subject line "CCPA Request".

1.9 Security. Transmission channels use TLS encryption; resting data is stored on access-controlled systems with role-based permissions, current patching, and encrypted backups.

2. Terms of Service

Commercial terms governing engagements with StorylineCraftHouse

2.1 Scope. These Terms govern all services provided by StorylineCraftHouse, 38124 Else-Hoppe-Str. 12 Braunschweig, Germany, including editorial content, technical documentation, brand manifestos, website copy, email sequences, SEO clusters, launch kits, whitepapers, and voice systems. Individual engagements are confirmed by written quote or statement of work referencing these Terms.

2.2 Quotations and pricing. Prices quoted in euros or US dollars are fixed for the described scope. Change requests outside the agreed scope may adjust price and turnaround; such adjustments are communicated in writing and require client approval before work continues. Published "from" prices on the website represent baseline entry points for standard packages.

2.3 Turnaround. Turnaround windows start upon receipt of the completed brief, required source materials, and any applicable down-payment. Public holidays in Lower Saxony, Germany, and agreed vacation periods are excluded from business-day counts. Delayed client feedback extends delivery dates proportionally.

2.4 Delivery and acceptance. Deliverables are provided electronically. The client reviews within five business days of delivery and either confirms acceptance or provides consolidated revision requests. If no response is received within ten business days, deliverables are deemed accepted. Included revision rounds are specified in the quote; additional rounds are billed at the disclosed hourly rate.

2.5 Intellectual property. Upon full payment, all worldwide rights in the client-specific final deliverables—text, structure, and accompanying assets—transfer to the client. StorylineCraftHouse retains rights to pre-existing frameworks, style methodologies, and generalized know-how, and may reference the client's name and public brand in portfolios unless the client opts out in writing. Until full payment, all drafts remain the property of StorylineCraftHouse.

2.6 Client obligations. The client warrants that supplied materials (brand assets, data, claims, product information) may be used as directed and that provided factual claims are accurate to the best of their knowledge. The client is responsible for final factual, legal, and regulatory review of regulated industries copy (finance, health, claims advertising).

2.7 Payment terms. Invoices are due within 14 calendar days of issuance unless otherwise stated. Payments are processed via Stripe through the secure payment link provided on the website and invoices. For projects above €1,500, a 50% down-payment may be required to commence work. Late payments may accrue statutory default interest (§288 BGB) and may pause active work after written notice.

2.8 Liability. StorylineCraftHouse is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for damages resulting from injury to life, body, or health, and as required by mandatory product liability statutes. For ordinary negligence, liability is limited to breach of essential contractual duties; foreseeable, typical damages remain capped at the total contract value of the affected engagement. Digital marketing outcomes (traffic, rankings, conversion rates) are not guaranteed; obligations are limited to the contracted work product and professional diligence.

2.9 Term and termination. Single-project engagements conclude upon delivery and acceptance. Retainers renew monthly and may be cancelled with 30 days' written notice at the end of the current billing period. Either party may terminate for material breach if the breach remains uncured 14 days after written notice. Pro-rata fees for completed work remain due upon termination.

2.10 Governing law. German law applies under exclusion of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). Place of jurisdiction for merchants is Braunschweig, Germany, where legally permissible. Consumers retain the mandatory protections of their country of residence.

3. Cookie Policy

Tracking technologies used on this website

3.1 What cookies are. Cookies are small text files placed on your device by this website; similar technologies include local storage entries and session identifiers. They enable core functionality, remember preferences, and—only with consent—support aggregated analytics.

3.2 Strictly necessary storage. These technologies are required for security, load balancing, and fraud prevention, and do not require consent under §25 (2) TDDDG: session cookies for encrypted connections, and a local-storage flag (sch_cookie_consent) recording that you dismissed the cookie notice.

3.3 Preference and analytics cookies. Non-essential cookies—such as aggregate traffic measurement or embedded-media preferences—are set only after you activate the consent control on the floating cookie notice at the bottom of the page. Consent may be withdrawn at any time by clearing site data in your browser; the cookie notice will reappear on your next visit.

3.4 Third-party content. Embedded content (for example the Google Maps preview on the contact page) may set cookies when loaded. Google Maps processes data per Google's own privacy terms; the map is loaded lazily. Payment interactions occur on Stripe-hosted pages governed by Stripe's cookie and privacy policies—not on this domain.

3.5 Managing cookies. You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). Blocking strictly necessary storage may impair login-free browsing continuity and security features. A browser "Do Not Track" signal is respected where technically feasible; we do not engage in cross-site behavioral advertising.

3.6 Updates. This Cookie Policy is revised when our technology stack changes. The "Last revised" date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Questions: [email protected].

4. Refund & Reimbursement Policy

Cancellation, revision, and money-back commitments

4.1 14-day first-draft guarantee. If you cancel before the first draft has been delivered, or within 14 days of first-draft delivery if the draft has not been used in any public or commercial channel, StorylineCraftHouse refunds 100% of fees paid for that engagement. Used or published drafts are excluded, reflecting completed creative labor.

4.2 Revision coverage. Revision rounds included in your quote are free when requested within 14 days of delivery and limited to the original brief's scope (tone adjustments, factual corrections, structural feedback). Brief expansions are quoted separately rather than refused silently.

4.3 Non-delivery. If StorylineCraftHouse fails to deliver the contracted first draft by the agreed deadline for reasons within its control, and the delay exceeds 10 business days beyond the committed date, you may choose a full refund of amounts paid for the undelivered scope or a no-cost deadline reset.

4.4 Cancellation of active projects. Projects cancelled mid-engagement are billed pro rata for research, outlining, and drafting work completed at the cancellation date. Any prepaid amount above the pro-rata charge is returned within 14 business days to the original payment method.

4.5 Retainers. Monthly retainers may be cancelled with 30 days' notice; unused prepaid hours in the final billing month are refunded on a pro-rata basis. Setup or strategy fees already executed are non-refundable once the kickoff session has occurred.

4.6 How to request a refund. Email [email protected] from your account email with the subject "Refund Request", your invoice number, and a brief rationale. Acknowledgement arrives within 2 business hours; approved refunds are issued within 5–10 business days via the original Stripe payment method. Chargebacks should be attempted only after this process, as good-faith processing preserves priority handling.

4.7 Statutory rights. Nothing in this policy limits mandatory consumer rights under German or EU law, including statutory withdrawal rights for distance contracts where applicable.

4.8 Secure payment. All transactions are processed by Stripe over encrypted connections. Pay outstanding or retainer invoices any time via our secure payment link.
